Supper Made Easy With Sea Best Seafood & A Giveaway

My mom and I love seafood!  But as a little girl it was reserved for meals during visits to restaurants.  I couldn't understand why she never cooked it at home. From a young age, I quickly acquired a taste from lobster and shrimp.  Living on Lake Erie it was common for my dad to catch perch and catfish to fry for family get-togethers.  When we would go out to eat at restaurants I always ordered seafood.  As I got older and had a family of my own I knew I wanted to learn how to make seafood at home for my family. With four babies our trips out to eat at restaurants were non-existent. The thought of cooking seafood was intimidating to me.  Its easy to fry seafood but I wanted to discover healthier ways to cook and serve seafood!  During a trip to the grocery store I discovered Sea Best® Seafood!

Sea Best® Seafood was started by The Frisch family in 1950.  Based in Jacksonville, Florida,  The company began utilizing a single truck to deliver its bounty from the Atlantic and Gulf coasts! Over the past 63 years the company has  grown to employee hundreds of men and women.  Considered one of the largest seafood suppliers who sources seafood from all of the world.  Sea Best Seafood offers over 30 different varieties of seafood to tantalize your taste buds.

For my review I wanted to try a new type of seafood.   I picked up a bag of Swai Fillets at my local grocery store that sells for $4.99. Very affordable for a pound of seafood.  I researched through some recipes on the Sea Best Seafood website looking for ideas on how to prepare Swai.  Swai is similar to catfish. The fish is sweet, mild, white and flaky. Traditionally swai is used in alot of Thai recipes.  I decided to create my own idea.
On a baking sheet I placed the Swai fillets and then sprinkled them with salt and pepper.   I covered each fillet with creole mustard.  Then topped with fried onions to give a crunchy texture to the flaky fish!
Bake at 400 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until the fish flakes apart easliy when a fork is inserted. One 16oz. package of Swai contained 8 fillets.  Each fillet is individually packaged to allow you to cook one fillet without having to use the entire package at once.

I served Sea Best® Seafood Swai fillets with garlic herb rice. It was absolutely delicious. My kids each asked for an extra piece of fish because they enjoyed it so much!  Seafood has such a mild flavor it is very receptive to herbs and spices to enable you to create a flavorful masterpiece!

Sea Best® Seafood offers many options of seafood frozen at its peak of freshness including fish, shrimp, lobster, crab, and frog legs!  Seafood is a healthy option to include in your diet because it is a great source of protein, vitamins and minerals, and contains half the calories of other lean meats!
