Homegating with Wholly Guacamole ~ 4 Winners

       Are you a big fan of football? Do you wait for the weekend to arrive to cheer your favorite team all the way to the superbowl?   Me... I've never really took the time to understand the rules of football.   I can't tell you how frustrating that is to my husband.   Especially,  because he was captain of the football team in high school.

      My favorite thing about football season is the food!  I love to whip up a big spread for my husband and some friends.  The guys enjoy some delicious food & my friends and I gather in the kitchen to chat!  Good food and good friends, that's what life is all about.

       Wholly Guacamole sent me a HUGE assortment of products!

     I visited HomegatingHQ to start planning my party! Wholly Guacamole has thought of every detail and aspect, then condensed the information into one website!  Hosting a fantastic party ~ Can now be accomplished in a short amount of time!  I was amazed at all of the amazing recipes available.  I decided to do a mixture of old and new recipes.  I was particularly intrigued by this recipe:

Guacamole Deviled Eggs

Ingredients:
4 whole eggs in the shell

1/2 cup Wholly Guacamole

1 Tbsp chopped cilantro

1 Tbsp minced green onion

1/2 tsp salt, or to taste

1 dash hot pepper sauce e.g. Tabasco, or to taste

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce, or to taste

1 tsp Dijon-style prepared mustard

1 pinch paprika

Instructions:
Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring water to a boil and immediately remove from heat. Cover, and let eggs stand in hot water for 10 - 12 minutes. Remove from hot water, cool, and peel. Slice eggs in half, and remove yolks to a mixing bowl.

           In the bowl with the yolks, combine the Wholly Guacamole, cilantro and green onion. Season with salt, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard. Mix well, and fill empty egg halves. Chill until serving. Sprinkle with paprika just before serving.

             These eggs look like they came out of a Dr. Suess book, but the are SO TASTY!!!!!  The Wholly Guacamole took a plate of regular deviled eggs & turned them into the hit item at my party.  The green onion and Worcestershire sauce gave the eggs a kick.  Super easy to make and the guys devoured them!!

 The kids overheard there was Wholly Guacamole in the kitchen.   I caught this little lady,  diving in before I could get the rest of the spread put out!!  It's OK, that's one of the good things about Homegating!  You get all of the food set out and then everyone helps themselves! I also made 7 layer Bean Dip, to accompany the tortilla chips and veggie pizza for a vegetarian option!

I also decided to make the recipe from the Homegating website for Authentic Street Tacos!  You use Rotisserie Chicken from your local grocery store for the meat in the taco.  This makes preparation for the tacos, super fast and easy!  I spread one side of the tortilla with sour cream and the other side with Wholly Guacamole.  They hold the ingredients of the taco inside the tortilla quite nicely!

    
           With all of the food ready to eat, everyone made their way to the kitchen during half-time to make their plates.  Thanks to the Homegating website, I was a able to try a few new recipes that everyone loved!
