They were really easy to make! I combined the yeast with water, added in the dough mix, salt, butter and eggs. Then let the dough rise! My kids didn't like the wait, but I assured them it would be well worth it. I could smell the delicious cinnamon through the packaging!! The cinnamon filling was simple just mix with water. After the dough rose, I rolled it out and slathered it with cinnamon filling! Roll it up and slice into nine section and put in the pan to rise some more! When the were ready, I baked them! Then for the final step, covered them with the glaze. I served them warm with a cup of coffee, for my husband and I. The kids were speechless. When everyone is silent at the kitchen table, you know they enjoy what their eating! The dough was sweet, the cinnamon filling was gooey and a perfect combo!! The warm glaze on top sent my taste buds to heaven!!
I was also was sent the basic scone mix to sample. Each bag contains enough to make 3 batches of scones. Each batch yields 8 scones. This is on sale right now for $9.99. For $3.33 per per meal, you can make a gourmet breakfast for your family. This mix is also very economical, because it allows you to customize your scones, by adding your own items to mix in. I have a favorite 2 bite scone for a local gourmet grocery store. For 12 scones I pay $4.99. It's an splurge to purchase them. I wanted to recreate them with King Arthur Flour, basic scone mix. The mix is super easy, you just combine it with butter egg and milk. I added in orange zest and dried cranberries. They were delicious!! Way better than the store brand. I won't be purchasing those anymore. Now that I have found a better option! All natural and preservative free, make these scones the best choice for my family. I love coming up with new flavor creations for my next batch of scones!
King Arthur flour offers many other items, in addition to the two I was sent to sample! They have white and wheat flour, muffin and bread mixes, pancake and waffle mixes, and gluten free baking options. Just to name a few!! You can also purchase pans or specialty items needed for baking. To visit their assortment of items, visit The King Arthur Flour Online Shop!
